Students deliver a powerful presentation at the VAULT. Portlethen Academy visit Aberdeen Childrens hospital pre the VAULT and gain great awareness of ARCHIE. All schools make excellent presentations at the VAULT event. Morven Mackenzie of Mackenzie PR attends the VAULT and is so impressed with the students and the ethos of the Jasmine Charity Challenge that she offers her professional support as a sponsorship. Liaison with schools, student, workshops, mentoring and professional release of information to appropriate areas of press / media follows as a result. Kelly Cumming a former pupil of Westhill Academy attended the VAULT. Kelly in her early teens had to have part of a leg amputated due to cancer. Her ambition is to do the New York Marathon. Kelly was delighted to agree to become an ambassador for the Jasmine Charity Challenge and will do a sponsored cycle from Aberdeen to Edinburgh in summer 2011 in preparation for New York. Students from the Gordon Schools Huntly - Neil Mitchell and Jake Gillespie ‘network’ successfully with ‘judges’ at the VAULT and create positive links with Acergy (now Subsea7). Visits to this company and reciprocal visits to the school are a possibility as a result. Kemnay Academy students engage positively with Olivia Giles the Founder / Director of the charity ‘500 Miles’.
